Description

BTMS Conditioning Emulsifier is an excellent cationic self-emulsifier and conditioner for both hair and skin care. It is naturally derived from Colza oil and is noted for its exceptional mildness. BTMS Conditioning Emulsifier offers innovative properties to formulations as both a mild primary emulsifier and an excellent conditioning agent.

Creams and lotions made with BTMS Conditioning Emulsifier leave a soft, powdery feel on the skin. Because BTMS Conditioning Emulsifier is substantive to hair, it imparts excellent body and spring and improves wet combing. Due to its extreme mildness, it is suitable for leave-in conditioners. BTMS can be used as sole emulsification system in creams, lotions or hair conditioners. BTMS can also emulsify many silicones (up to 50% in a formulation).

100 grams of BTMS Conditioning Emulsifier will make up to 2 litres of Salon Quality Hair Conditioner – or less if you prefer a thicker formula.

Ingredients

Part A 
Distilled Water                87% = 174 grams
BTMS                               7% =   14 grams

Part B 
Hydolyzed Oats                2% =    4 grams
dl Panthenol                     2% =    4 grams
Phenonip (preservative)   1% =    1 grams
Fragrance                         2% =    2 grams

Total  Amount                100% = 200 grams

1. Mix and Heat Part A to 75C.
2. Mix and Heat Part B to 75C.
3. Add Part B to A with mixing (use a stick blender).
4. Cool to 50F or less, add Part C and mix well.

Botanical Face Cream 

Ingredients

Part A 
*Distilled Water                                  54% = 108 grams
Rose Water                                       10% =  20 grams
Glycerine                                           10% =  20 grams

Part B 
BTMS                                                 8% =   20 grams
Argan Oil                                            2% =    4 grams
Jojoba Oil                                           4% =    8 grams
Castor Oil                                           2% =    4 grams
Shea or Cocoa Butter                         6% =   12 grams

Part C 
**Rose Geranium Ylang Ylang
Essential Oils                                      1% =  2 grams
Liquid Germall Plus (Preservative)     1% =  2 grams

Total  Amount                                    100.0% = 200 grams

1. Mix and Heat Part A to 75C.
2. Mix and Heat Part B to 75C.
3. Add Part B to A with mixing (use a stick blender).
4. Cool to 50F or less, add Part C and mix well.

Notes: 
**For added skin benefits, Distilled Water can be replaced with chamonmile tea or floral hydrosols if desired.
**Other skin safe essential oils may be substituted
