Learn how to make your own Goat Milk Soap from scratch. This class provides an introduction to the cold process soap method of making soap with a special emphasis on milk based, or in this case, Goat Milk Soap. Making milk based soap using Goat Milk has often been considered to be a little bit difficult. But in this class we will show you how you can make it the easy way from scratch. Like the cold process soap method, Goat Milk Soap combines oils and a lye solution (during a process called ‘saponification’) to make soap. In this class we will cover safety procedures, the chemistry of soap making, and the process to make a Goat Milk cold process soap.
Goat milk is rich in beta-casein (3 times more than Cow’s Milk), Vitamins A, B6, B12 and E and minerals that help nourish and hydrate sensitive, dry and aging skin. The make up of Goats Milk helps balance the skin’s pH and helps soothe and moisturise. With all of these fantastic qualities, it is little wonder that goat soap making produces such a gorgeous, moisturising soap with a creamy smooth texture.
Goat’s milk has amazing benefits for your skin; in fact, Cleopatra who was known for her amazing skin would soak her entire body in goat’s milk bathes.
Soap making is highly addictive and will connect you with a simpler and more natural past. Making your own soap means that you can control the ingredients that go into your soap and produce soap that is both natural and good for your skin.
In this class you will learn how to make your own high quality natural Goat Milk Soap. Making soap is very popular, but once the soap is made – you will need to let it rest or cure for 4 to 6 weeks.
